　　本课主要介绍了英语语言的发展和演变以及现代化通讯的飞速发展。学完本课以后，应了解英语语言在不断的发展和变化着，而且要了解语言的发展演变，要在日后把这些有关英语的知识运用到学习当中。
　　在本课的对话1中我们要了解为什么说英语是一种全球通用的语言;对话2中提到了我们国家的国粹—京剧，除了了解有关京剧的词汇以外，我们还可以增加一些基本的常识。
　　本课的课文向我们介绍了一个流行词的诞生。“全球化”这个词从被创造出来到现在还不到十年，但是现在它已经在国际经济中得到了广泛的使用。同时，课文还详细介绍了全球的概念，全球境的功能等有关的知识。
