There'll be just a few trailers.
Walt: Thank goodness the ads are over. They go on for far too long.
Ingo: Yes, there'll be just a few trailers and then the movie will start.
Walt: I don't mind trailers, at least they're not trying to sell you anything.
Ingo: Of course they are, they're trying to sell you the latest movies.
Walt: Well, I suppose so, but they're a lot more exciting than the ads.
Ingo: If you ask me, they're sometimes a lot more exciting than the movies themselves.
The commercial received high praise at the Advertising Film Festival(那部电视广告片在广告电影节中大获赞赏)。
Some commercials on television are quite interesting即'有些电视广告片颇为有趣'.
(1) I was invited to a (sneak) preview of the new movie(我获邀观看那部新电影的试映)。
(2) Trailers for a few upcoming movies were shown, but they did not appeal to me(电影院放映了未来几部电影的预告片,但都不能引起我的兴趣)。
(Sneak有'偷偷的'、'非正式的'含义,I despise those who make sneak attacks on others即 '我看不起偷偷攻击别人者'.最后谈谈英戈说的if you ask me. If you ask me, she is not as carefree as she appears(依我看,她并不是像她表面上那样无忧无虑的)。 [NextPage] The camera zoomed in on the girl face.
Rosalind: I've just seen an absolutely wonderful movie, so romantic.
Fiona: What was it about?
Rosalind: t was a very sad love story.
Fiona: How did it end?
Rosalind: The camera zoomed in on the girl's face as her lover was being forced to leave her, probably for ever. Tears were just beginning to roll down her cheeks.
Fiona: Too gloomy for me I'm afraid. I like comedies.
I took a close-up of the girl's face at a distance using a zoom lens即'我焦距镜头,从远处拍那位女孩面孔的脸部近距离特写'.Zoom也可以作动词。Zoom in (on someone/something)是'拉近拍摄',也作pan in;zoom out则是'拉远拍摄',也作pan out,例如:
(1) I zoomed/panned in slowly on the huge crater the explosion had left in the road(我慢慢拉近镜头,拍摄爆炸在路面上留下的大洞)。
(2) The camera zoomed/panned out to show her, standing all by herself, waving goodbye to her lover(镜头拉远,只见她独自一人站着,向情郎挥手道别)。
The paper zoomed in on the problem of child abuse(那份报纸特别探讨虐待儿童问题)。
(1) On the bookshelf are some cheap romances(书架上有些低俗爱情故事)。
(2) I love the romance of walking in the rain(我喜欢雨中散步的浪漫气氛)。
