She's got a really useful right foot.
John: My sister's really keen on soccer.
Eric: Really, what team does she support?
John: She doesn't support any in particular. When I say keen, I mean she's an enthusiastic player. She plays for a local women's team.
  Eric: Is she any good?
John: Well, she's scored ten goals so far this season. She's got a really useful right foot.
Eric: Well if that's the case, you really must take me to see her play sometime.
My sister's really keen on soccer. My sister is a keen soccer player/a keen soccer spectator(我妹妹很喜欢踢足球/看足球)。
Basketball is one of the most popular spectator sports in the US(篮球在美国是最受观众欢迎的运动之一)。 (1) He isn't very keen on/about selling the house(他对于卖房子兴趣缺缺)。(2) I can see that Tom is keen on/about my sister(我看得出汤姆很喜欢我妹妹)。 He has got a useful right foot(他的右脚很有用)。例如:You may not agree that Beckham has got a useful right foot, but he has earned hundreds of millions of dollars as a soccer player(你也许不认为贝克汉的足球技术了得,但他当足球运动员,赚钱以亿元计)。 (1) He is probably the man with the best right foot in the game(这场比赛之中,他也许是踢球技术最高妙的球员)。(2) With a gifted right foot, you should play professional soccer(你有踢球天赋,应该参加职业足球赛)。Gift(礼物)可以引申解作'天赋'.[NextPage] You should use the fill-in flash.
Ian: I'm a bit disappointed with some of my vacation snaps.
Bob: They mostly look fine to me.
Ian: But on these where I photographed my friends against the sun, their
faces are quite dark. You can't really see them clearly.
Bob: Ah, in those kind of conditions you should use the fill-in flash setting on your camera.
  Ian: What will that do?
Bob: It will make their faces lighter so that you can see them better when the sun's behind them.
用一般闪光灯(flash),可以凭其强光清除阴影,但照片看来会不自然,所以最好用较柔和的补充闪光(fill-in flash): If you don't want your subject(拍摄对象)to squint(瞇着眼睛)in the sun, or to have dark eye sockets(眼窝)and shadows under the nose and lips, you may shoot(拍摄)him against the sun using fill-in flash.
As more light was needed on her face, we sent for a reflector(她脸部要多点光,我们于是叫人拿块反光板来)。 I'm a bit disappointed with some of my vacation snaps. I snapped at the chance of working with such a brilliant scientist(有机会和这样出色的科学家合作,我当然不会放过)。 I snapped my son while he was happily eating ice cream(我趁儿子快快活活吃冰淇淋的时候,帮他拍了照片)。 I took a snap of the volcanic eruption(我拍了火山爆发的照片)。
