　　Gary: So have you heard anything about Mike's play?
　　Paula: I heard everybody else quit.
　　Gary: That's what I told him would happen. Now what's he going to do?
　　Paula: I don't know. [phone rings] Hello? Hi Mike. You want to talk to Gary? OK. [to Gary] It's for you.
　　Gary: What do you want, Mike? [listens] OK. I'll meet you there in an hour. [hangs up]
　　Paula: What did he want?
　　Gary: He wants to meet at a coffee shop and talk about the play.
　　(续上期，下期续)
　　二天
　　盖瑞：你有听到麦克话剧的消息吗？
　　葆拉：我听说其它人都退出了。
　　盖瑞：那正是我跟他说的结果。他现在怎么办？
　　葆拉：我不知道。（电话响起）喂？嗨，麦克。你想跟盖瑞说话？好。（拿给盖瑞）找你的。
　　盖瑞：你想怎样，麦克？（听电话）好。我一小时后在那跟你碰面。（挂断）
　　葆拉：他要干嘛？
　　盖瑞：他想要在咖啡店见面谈话剧的事。
　　重点解说：

　　Gary: You see, Mike? If you want this play to work, let me take over.
　　Mike: It's either me as director, or no play.
　　Gary: You're on some kind of weird power trip, man.

　　Gary: All right. You leave me no choice. I'm off the play.
　　Mike: Good. Now I can get things done.
　　Gary: I doubt it. I'm the only one that knows how to direct. Without me, everybody will quit. I'm out of here.

　　盖瑞：你看吧，麦克？如果你希望这话剧成功，让我接手。
　　麦克：要嘛就是我当导演，不然就别演了。
　　盖瑞：老兄，你真是被某种奇怪的权力欲望附身了。
　　麦克：你只有这些选择。接受不然就滚蛋。
　　盖瑞：好。你让我别无选择。我退出话剧。
　　麦克：很好。现在我可以做事了。
　　盖瑞：我怀疑。我是唯一知道该如何导戏的人。没有我，大家都会退出。我走了。
