　　Gary: Mike, if you don't start directing the play, I will.
　　Mike: I am directing the play. You're just not listening.
　　Gary: You're the one that's not listening. Nobody has a clue what to do.
　　Mike: Just mind your own business.
　　Gary: I'm trying to keep this play from becoming a disaster.
　　Mike: If you'd just listen to me read the storyline...
　　Gary: Not again!
　　Mike: As many times as it takes. Now go get the costumes. [goes backstage]

　　盖瑞：麦克，如果你不开始导演话剧，我就要自己来了。
　　麦克：我在导演话剧啊。是你都没在听。
　　盖瑞：你才是没在听的那个人。没有人知道要做什么。
　　麦克：你管好你自己就行了。
　　盖瑞：我是在试图阻止这出话剧变成一个灾难。
　　麦克：如果你肯听我念故事情节……
　　盖瑞：别再要我们听你念故事情节了！
　　麦克：需要几次就念几次。现在去拿服装。（去后台）

　　Paula: He did write it, but Gary directed the school play for the last two years.
　　Ivy: Yeah. We should tell Mike we want Gary as director again.
　　Paula: Mike's not happy the town newspaper's writing about him.
　　Ivy: If Mike screws this up, that reporter will make us all look bad.
　　Paula: I think somebody should go talk to him.

　　只剩艾薇跟葆拉
　　艾薇：他一直在浪费时间。
　　葆拉：我们早该一开始就让盖瑞导演这出话剧。
　　艾薇：可是麦克要导演话剧？
　　葆拉：剧本的确是他写的，可是盖瑞前两年都导过学校话剧。
　　艾薇：是啊。我们应该跟麦克说我们希望盖瑞再当导演。
　　葆拉：麦克对镇上报纸关于他的报导很不高兴。
　　艾薇：如果麦克把这搞砸了，那个记者会让我们全部都很难看。
　　葆拉：我想该有人去跟他说说。
